Welcome to Jeaneil Therapies
Our Story
Hello, we are Neil and Jean, based in Nottinghamshire and are passionate about helping people through holistic therapies. Our journey began in different ways but led us to a shared dream of becoming full time holistic therapists.
Neil's Journey
Based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, I (Neil) have always felt a deep sense of purpose in helping others. My interest in holistic therapies was sparked in the late 1980’s when I was working as a civil servant and was introduced to Aromatherapy, Reiki and Reflexology. This initial exposure set me on a path of discovery that I continue to follow today. In 2010 I was attuned to reiki levels1 and 2.
Jean's Journey
Based in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, I (Jean) have always been fascinated by alternative therapies. My journey began in the early 1990’s with a course in Manchester where I started to learn about the power of crystals. Over the years, I expanded my knowledge, studying various therapies at North Derbyshire College. In 2006 I was attuned to Reiki level 1 and later became a Reiki Master/Teacher, which was a significant step in my career.
Our Shared Path
Our paths converged and in 2010 we were introduced to the incredible world of sound therapy, when we were taught to play singing bowls and introduced to drumming and discovered the profound benefits that sound and vocals can have on both the body and mind. The human voice, in our opinion, is the most powerful instrument that we can use for chanting and humming.
In 2015 we began a year-long diploma course in Crystal Therapy with the British Academy of Crystal Healing (BACH), followed by a Post Graduate course in 2017. Having completed the course in 2016, we made the life changing decision to leave our office jobs and pursue our dream of becoming full time therapists.
In 2017 we both qualified as Reflexologists, passing our exams in both Reflexology and Anatomy & Physiology.
Our Commitment
Since 2000 we have earned numerous accredited diplomas. We became members of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) in 2016, which only accepts accredited courses and are also insured with them. Our FHT membership means that if you have private health insurance, it may cover the cost of our treatments. Please check with your provider to confirm your eligibility.
We are dedicated to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), ensuring our knowledge is always up to date. We regularly introduce new methods and techniques into our treatments to provide the best possible care.
Both of us hold an Enhanced DBS check, which allows us to work with vulnerable children. We have had the privilege of providing sound therapy at a school for autistic children and continue to work with several community groups.
We look forward to helping you on your wellness journey.
