What is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you are immersed in sound frequencies that promote healing and balance in the body, mind, and spirit. Using instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, chanting/toning and drums, sound baths help recalibrate your energetic system and induce a meditative state.

How Sound Healing Works

Quantum Science states that everything vibrates (including your body, from your cells to your chakras). When exposed to harmonious sound vibrations your body naturally starts to resonate and realign, promoting:

·         Brainwave shifts (from beta to theta/delta)

·         Nervous system regulation (rest-and-digest mode)

·         Energetic and emotional clearing

·         Spiritual insight and intuition

Health Benefits of Sound Baths

Stress relief
Improved sleep
Emotional balance
Chakra alignment
Enhanced focus & clarity
Support for trauma release
Greater creativity and intuition

Sound baths work on a subtle level, allowing deep shifts to occur without force or effort.

Those with epilepsy, sound sensitivity, pregnant in the 1st trimester or medical implants should consult a health provider first.

Sound Baths vs. Gong Baths

Gong Baths - Focus on powerful gong resonance, are deep, clearing, often intense, and excellent for energetic releases

Sound Baths - Use a variety of instruments, are gentle, layered, harmonizing, and ideal for relaxation and balance.

While both a "gong bath" and a "sound bath" aim to induce states of deep relaxation and meditation through sound and vibration, the key difference lies in the instruments used.

Sound Baths refer to a meditative experience where participants are "bathed" in sound waves produced by a variety of instruments, which include:

Gongs, Singing bowls, Chimes, Drums including Ocean drum, The human voice (chanting/toning),

Tongue Drum, Native American style flute, Bells

Each instrument brings a unique vibrational signature to your healing experience, and the intention is to create a diverse soundscape that allows the mind to relax and the body to feel the vibrations, promoting a sense of well-being, reducing stress, and sometimes enhanced mindfulness.

Gong Baths focus on the use of gongs. While other instruments might sometimes be used to complement the gongs, the primary sound source and the dominant vibrations come from the gongs themselves. They are known for producing deep, rich, and often powerful vibrations that can be felt throughout the body, making them particularly effective for deep relaxation and inducing altered states of consciousness.

We offer both sound baths and gong baths, but prefer the sound baths, due to the different sounds and frequencies that we can create, and people seem to enjoy and find them more relaxing.
